Why should you choose our Nursery?

  • The Harris Federation has a proven track record of running high quality nursery settings. Currently 100% of our nurseries are judged by Ofsted to be ‘good’ with 91% ‘outstanding’.
  • In July 2023, Harris Primary Academy Benson was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted. The school has the capacity and expertise to expand our provision to serve even more families within our community.

Our Nursery Class

The new Nursery at Harris Primary Academy Benson will be an Early Years provision with warm and welcoming staff, that are a dedicated team of individuals working together to promote high-quality Early Years provision.

Our highly qualified and experienced staff offer the children a learning through play-based experience as required for the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Our Nursery will offer 52 places (26 each session). This is a mixture of full time (30 hours) and part time (15 hours) places, funded. Children can start in Nursery the term after their third birthday, if places are available.

Our Nursery will run term time only in line with the term dates for the main school.

The hours for the Nursery are as follows:

Morning session: 8.30am - 11.30am.

Afternoon Session: 12.30pm - 3.30pm.

Full Day: 8.30am – 3.30pm*

*This includes an hour for lunchtime provision chargeable at £6.00 per pupil per day. £4.00 per day for children eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium funding.
